In 2011, I co-founded a technology company, ReCollect, leading its product team until we were acquired in 2021. I went on to build a product organization at Routeware and served as Vice President of Product for several years.
One thing I’ve noticed is that companies often struggle to identify and prioritize the features and products that will have the largest impact. A product team is responsible for making sure a company’s products and services meet customer needs and support the business. That means understanding customer problems, deciding which ones to address, and working with engineering to get the right things built. Companies also depend upon their product team for launches and to track how products are performing.
To help companies streamline their product development lifecycle, I bring over a decade of experience building product workflows so technology teams can focus on the most important work to grow their businesses. I will start by evaluating how your product team is functioning (i.e., what’s working and what’s not, how priorities are determined, and the tools and processes used to manage your products and services). From there, I can recommend changes or work alongside your team to put them in place.
This can include:
- analysing product and business data
- configuring tools,
- helping form a roadmap, and
- improving how work moves between product, engineering, and customer-facing teams.
How much I take on depends on what your business needs from its product team!
